CY Tung Maritime Museum is an interesting place if you have ever made toy models of boats, or are into that sorta thing. The text on the walls remains very Asian specific counting how many first, largest or 'best' boats Asia has produced. The museum does prove that most things have already been done in China long before the west had done it. The history of boats in China is interesting in the fact that the central governments over the ages rarely sent out expeditions. After being in the museum for some time you may notice that the only western boats mentioned are inconsequential or sank in 'Asian' waters.

Largely a propaganda venture with Jiao Tong University, which houses the museum, this museum isn't worth seeing unless you are a boat person.
