Welcome to Shanghai Docent the first city guide offered by WorldDocent.org

In the next few weeks expect to see many changes to this site. We hope that you are a part of them.

World Docent provides you a place to create listings for places. These places can be any business or notable venue that you feel is needed to help others get around town.

World Docent is a Wiki (well kinda). Any information added to World Docent belongs to World Docent (only so we can publish it later on our mobile guides). WorldDocent's content is published under a creative commons license. You are free to change articles as you see fit. The license allows us, and you actually, to republish almost anything on WorldDocent.org as long you credit WorldDocent's involvement in your work.

There are a few exceptions. For example there are a few things you can't change, contact information for a business for example. However the articles about the businesses are up to you to populate and change. To add an address or Phone number to a business or request a change just send us an e-mail. After checking up on its validity we will change the website.

If you feel that something is wrong on the site and you can't change it please tell us. We are here to make sure that the Docent is correct and beneficial to our readers. The email address to send any request to is admin@worlddocent.org
